Antonia Lofaso
Chef Antonia Lofaso's food is an opportunity to delve into the depths of her interior world. Her curiosity grew as she left for the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas are able to live in harmony in the menus, an idea that has developed in the course of the years. All of her meals, she has a vision that is distinct and speaks to a longing for the past. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso launched Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 which was immediately well received. Lofaso's interpretation of traditional Italian has been called the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian eateries. The food at Lofaso is always delicious, welcoming and pleasing. Lofaso took her cues from the greats of culinary with sophisticated cooking techniques. She didn't hesitate to take extreme risks in order to respect her instincts. She was in close contact with many famous people and quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. The Lofaso had found a home in the Black Market. The collaboration could provide the creative freedom Lofaso wanted. Black Market does not have any one specific direction, and this is its intention. It could start with Dill chips and then Shishitos peppers. Next comes a Korean wing and finally the meatballs course. Antonia is the center of this dazzling variety. Lofaso has, over the course of her professional career, has evaluated her performance by the degree to which she knows her target audiences. In addition, she remains in the same place she was. The Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express her self outside of the culinary environment. Since then, she has continued her career in front of cameras, including judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. In 2012, Lofaso collaborated with Penguin for the release of The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious Home-cooked Meals and describes the obstacles she faced during her time at the prestigious French Culinary Institute, and at the same time raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all her success is due to her passion cooking, and she's able to keep a finger on the pulse of this industry by focusing in the kitchen.
