Jessica Biel was born in the US and is an American model, actress and singer. She started her modelling career at a very young age. In order to improve her acting skills, after being awarded a grant during an international convention, she enrolled in Young Actor's Space. In the WB 7th Heaven, Mary Camden was her character. Her popularity was phenomenal for the role, however she felt that portraying Mary Camden in the negative image would hamper her abilities to be a good actor. The cover of Gear magazine featured her partially dressed so as to alter that image. Jessica's action caused much controversy amongst her fans. Jessica resigned from the TV show 7th Heaven after performing in the sixth season. Her acclaimed performance as a teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant fame. Actually, the film won her Best New Actress in Supporting. Summer Catch is a great illustration of her talents. The production Rules of Attraction did not achieve much success despite her amazing performance. The film that was a horror The Texas Chainshaw Massacre brought her to the notice of the public. Her performance in suspense movies has proved her an actor of serious stature.
