Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actress singer and former model. Kotero is famous for her role as co-star in the film of Prince's Purple Rain and for having been the main singer for the girl group Apollonia 6. The actress and singer was named Apollonia by Prince was one of a number of female artists in the '80s that benefited from her connection with the Purple One. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as an actress and model. The latter part of the 70s was when she was a guest on CHiPS. In 1984, the actress was a part of the main woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she changed her name.) She then replaced Vanity as a member of the female trio Vanity 6 which starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. Sex Shooter was a minor hit for the group, however, she had an even bigger effect as the duet partner of Prince with Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero as well as Prince have a disagreement regarding her career. The Apollonia6 duo split up, Kotero was not able to keep her romance with Prince.
