Kat Dennings is a Pennsylvanian born in Bryn Mawr on 13 June 1986. Her name was Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings was her mother and speech therapist as Gerald was the father and was a professor at the college. Dennings was raised by a Jewish family as the youngest child. Dennings attended a school that was not traditional and she was only in a brief period of homeschool. Homeschooling made sense because she wanted to be an actress at a young age. Her ability to complete her high school education at 14 years old. When she was just nine years old, she was performing in commercials for television. She moved to Los Angeles with her family after graduating from high school, to study acting. The actress began her auditions under the name of Kat Dennings. Kat Dennings' acting debut came after having moved to LA was when she appeared on the HBO series "Sex and the City" in 2000. In 2000, Kat Dennings was a part of "Sex and the City" in HBO.
